Project Description: 

The Contractor will develop a comprehensive model for calculating site-specific polyaromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) water quality guidelines (WQGs). The model will include:

• a further refined and validated site-specific light attenuation coefficient kd(λ) freshwater model, that is currently under development
• a refined and validated marine kd(λ) model
• recommended inputs for some parameters in the TUV (Tropospheric Ultraviolet and Visible Radiation Model)
• R code for calculating these site-specific guidelines.  

The Contractor will prepare a report written for a scientific audience that documents all components of the model and modifications, specifications and assumptions used to calculate PAH WQGs and includes the R code and associated instructions.
